Relationship Resilience with Rising Strong™

A 3-Day Retreat for Women to Recover and Redefine Healthy Relationships with Themselves and Others Using Dr. Brené Brown’s Evidence-based Rising Strong™ Process

Friday, October 4th 3:30pm-8:30pm

Saturday, October 5th 10am-6pm

Sunday, October 6th 9am-12pm

Facilitators: Allison Grubbs, LCSW, LCAS, CCS, Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator and Adrianne Robinson, LCSW, LCAS. Both Allison and Adrianne are registered yoga teachers and have over 20 years of combined experience facilitating groups and retreats. We both feel honored to do this work and take great care in creating and holding space. We both have private practices in Raleigh and see adolescents and adults struggling with addictions, compulsive behavior, trauma, anxiety, relationship struggles, shame, depression, and generally feeling overwhelmed. We both are currently in training to become Somatic Experiencing Practitioners, a groundbreaking trauma treatment model that uses the wisdom of the body to heal.

What: During our three days together we will explore our relationship patterns, how they relate to our attachment styles, and how to heal our relationships with ourselves in order to create healthier relationships with others. Utilizing Brené Brown’s groundbreaking research, we will dive deeper into how we get can be better at actually feeling our emotions, increase our resilience to stress and trauma, and develop a sense of home within ourselves. We are not characters in our story, we are the authors. When we own our stories, we can find our power to create a new ending.

Where: A peaceful and wooded retreat space just 15 minutes outside of downtown Raleigh.

This is not an overnight retreat, instead, we will meet during the day on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This was an intentional decision to allow attendees to spend the night in the setting that best suits your needs. Some who are local may feel best staying at home, others local or not, may want to stay in a hotel or Airbnb in order to be away from their typical day-to-day environment. Whatever your preference, we are happy to discuss more about available options with you.

Food: Doing this in depth work requires fuel! We will provide a light breakfast Saturday and Sunday mornings, Lunch on Saturday, and Dinner on Friday. Snacks, teas, juice, and coffee will also be available throughout our time together. Please feel free to bring along any favorite snacks.

Bring: This experience will be more beneficial with an open heart and open mind. We know that can feel scary, so please know that confidentiality is the most important. We also intentionally want to have a small group (no more than 12) in order for this experience to feel individualized and comfortable. We also encourage you to wear comfortable clothes and bring a favorite blanket.

Cost: Early Registration (register before August 1st): $725, After August 1st: $799. Payment plans available. We will contact for payment after you have registered.

Note: We are limiting the number of participants to 12 in order to keep this experience comfortable and intimate.
